Stacey Belmonte, LCPC, works to understand where a client is coming from and what motivates them in order to resolve conflict, overcome difficult situations, attain goals, and reach their full potential. She is intrigued by the unique qualities of each person and believes each individual comes with unique strengths and challenges.
Stacey earned a BA from Eastern Illinois University and an MA from Northeastern Illinois University. She has extensive experience working with families that have children with developmental delays and is an advocate for special needs within the community. Stacey is also skilled at promoting healthy coping skills and social relationships with children and teens to improve self-esteem and mood.
Stacey utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, guided imagery, client-centered, mindfulness, and other creative approaches (i.e. music, art, and relaxation exercises) to encourage client understanding and participation. Whatever approach is used, Stacy builds trusting relationships to help clients voice their emotional life.
