Dr. Pagan-Romney, PsyD, LCPC, helps clients understand the root, triggers, and dynamics most likely maintaining their distress. She then works to promote positive change using strength-based and person-centered approaches.
Dr. Pagan-Romney earned an MA from Universidad del Turabo in Puerto Rico and a PsyD from Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in child & adolescent behavioral health at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and also trained extensively in hospital, out-patient, community mental health, and school settings.
Dr. Pagan-Romney treats a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, developmental delays, stress, trauma, life transitions, adjustment, and family dynamics. She incorporates evidence-informed care such mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family therapy to provide individualized interventions that best fit the needs of the patient.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Pagan-Romney embraces diversity and culture as a strong foundation for self-actualization. She is also passionate about holistic wellness and considering the needs of the mind, body, family, and larger community in her treatment process.
