Child Psychological Assessments

child in psychology session
Understand the components of your child’s functioning with an Edgewood psychological/neuropsychological assessment. From cognitive abilities to academic challenges to difficulties relating to others, the course to improvement starts with a test.

A psychological assessment can help determine if your child lives with:

  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Developmental delays
  • Sensory issues
  • Learning disorders
  • Giftedness
  • Personality disorders
  • And more

Psychological Assessments can be a valuable tool to assist with IEP goal planning, giftedness, accommodations for standardized testing, early entrance to kindergarten, and understanding developmental delays.

The evaluation process takes approximately two to three months. The initial consultation with parents is scheduled through our client services department. It may take insurance companies up to two to three weeks to officially approve psych testing. The psychologist meets with the child for two to three face-to-face sessions. Testing feedback and final evaluation will be provided to the client’s parents within three to four weeks following the final face-to-face testing session.
