I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. I obtained my Master’s degree in Nutrition and Wellness from Benedictine University where I also completed my dietetic internship. During my internship I had the opportunity to practice nutrition in clinical, community and food service settings. Throughout my supervised practice I encountered various individuals of different ages and from different walks of life and was able to educate, motivate and assist them towards reaching their nutrition goals.
My philosophy about food is centered around balance. Rather than restricting and labeling certain foods as bad, I believe that a healthy lifestyle involves having a balanced diet, rich in a variety of foods. In my opinion eating should be an enjoyable experience and a way to take care of our bodies and minds. Using the latest evidence-based nutrition research, my aim is to provide individuals with the support they need to nourish a heathier relationship with food.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, curling up with a good book, and being in the kitchen and coming up with new recipes to share with others.
