I think one of most important aspects of therapy is a strong therapeutic alliance between myself and the client. I always work to create a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting environment, where my clients feel comfortable exploring and are free to be their authentic selves. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives, and I like to take a collaborative approach to therapy to help foster a sense of control and autonomy, so that they feel empowered to make the changes they are seeking.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Illinois State University. I then went on to graduate school at Roosevelt University in Chicago, where I earned my master's degree in Clinical Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in outpatient and community mental health settings and have worked with a wide range of clients across the lifespan.
