About Rachel Burns, LPC

Rachel Burns, LPC, knows that getting help can be really hard, but she's here to help in any way. Her therapy styles is based on where the individual is in their mental health journey, and she pulls from different counseling methods to meet their specific needs.

Rachel earned a graduate degree in mental health counseling from McKendree University. She serves adolescents and adults and is especially skilled at helping individuals with with unresolved trauma, working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and treating anxiety and depression symptoms. Rachel is also EMDR certified and uses this skill to help process trauma.

In addition to EMDR, Rachel uses CBT techniques to help individuals manage anxiety and depression. She takes a goal oriented approach to counseling so each person knows exactly what they are working toward. Rachel also encourages autonomy and empowerment through client-centered treatment methods.
