Provider Type: Therapist
Serving: Adults 18-59
Michele Carroll, LCSW, strives to meet clients where they are and navigate them to where they want to be with therapy. Her goal is to support and provide each client with a safe space to develop tools to face their own life challenges and reach their unique goals.
Michele received a BA from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master's of Social Work from Dominican University. Her background includes experience as a medical social worker in hospice care and a case manager, doula, and counselor at Children's Home + Aid Society.
In therapy, Michele collaborates with clients to identify their goals and discover their way of knowing and adapting to the world. She is an “eclectic” therapist and uses various techniques depending on the issues presented. This may include mindfulness, narrative therapy, journaling, art or play therapy, relaxation techniques, and utilizing evidence-based screens for anxiety, depression, and more. In every case, Michele works to provide solutions that will most organically fit into each client's life challenges.
