Melissa Pasierb, LPC, helps clients develop and find ways to implement manageable skills to enhance their way of life. In every case, she meets clients where they are and guides them towards addressing their current reality.
Melissa earned an undergraduate degree for University of Illinois, Chicago and a graduate degree in mental health counseling from Governors State University. She is skilled at helping clients age six and up struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, learning disabilities, and more. She enjoys doing art in her spare time, as well as outdoor activities and playing with her dog and cats.
In therapy, Melissa takes an integrated approach and uses CBT, DBT, Positive Psychology and Solution-Focused methods to accomplish goals. She encourages mindfulness, incorporates play therapy depending on client needs and ultimately guides clients towards finding the best possible ways to improve their life. Melissa's ultimate goal is for clients to have the confidence to implement their treatment plan outside of therapy.
