Megan helps children, adolescents, and adults struggling with mood and personality disorders, learning disabilities, family conflict, OCD, parenting, and more. She's also especially skilled at treating:
Child and Adolescent Behavioral Issues: Temper tantrums, ADHD, hyperactivity, oppositional defiant disorders, and more can be managed and even prevented with the right approach. Megan can help access behaviors and provide treatment techniques. This includes helping parents cope with patience and understanding.
Trauma: Trauma comes with emotional and mental health consequences, and everyone has unique recovery needs. Megan is certified clinical trauma professional and helps sort through psychological wounds and and alleviate adverse reactions.
Self-Injury: Megan can help stabilize a self-injury crisis, including supporting recently discharged hospital patients for suicide attempts. She is honored to walk this treatment journey with clients and help prevent future distress. Hard work is outside of office is required but, if committed, big changes will occur.
In therapy, Megan meets clients where they are and creates personalized treatment plans to produce the best outcome. Her holistic approach incorporates mindfulness, DBT, CBT, reality therapy, and more.
Megan also believes in a mind/body balance and helps clients recognize what their body feels like in distress and teaches proactive measures to address any issues.
Megan earned a degree from Bradley University. She grew up on a farm in Missouri and loves animals, especially for therapeutic purposes. Outside of the office, Megan enjoys spending time with her daughter, two cats, and Yorkie puppy. She also loves being outdoors, even if it's just backyard.
