Maryssa DeNardo, LSW, is personable, empathetic, and genuinely cares about client progress throughout the therapeutic process. She meets clients where they are and makes sure they have the opportunity to share and rewrite their story in a safe, comfortable space.
Maryssa earned both a BSW and MSW from Aurora University. Her career experience includes a position at Linden Oaks Hospital working with adolescents struggling with substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, self injury, PTSD/trauma, and other mental health challenges; and an internship at Cornerstone where she connected older adults with mental health services within the community.
In therapy, Maryssa is client centered and uses tools such as DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, CBT, Solution-Focused, and other approaches to meet clients needs. In every case, she creates a non-judgmental space for clients to share their experiences and get on the path to a better life.
