Kellie Swoboda, LPC, views the therapeutic relationship as central to her work. She strives to create a safe space for clients to work toward their goals. Kellie views each client as a unique individual and treats them as such, adapting a multi-faceted theoretical approach to therapy.
Kellie offers Telehealth therapy for adults struggling with aging, life transitions, self esteem, stress, and is especially skilled at treating:
Trauma: Past experiences can severely impact your everyday life. Kellie understands you need a safe space to explore the root cause, and offers non-judgmental support as you grow and learn about yourself.
Coping with Anxiety: Excessive worry and panic are just two of the many symptoms anxiety cause. Your body’s reaction to anxiety is completely different from the next person. Kellie ensures you get the best help for you diagnosis by individualizing your treatment and listening to your needs.
Depression Therapy: Depression can feel as though it is your life, but it doesn’t have to be. Through talk therapy, Kellie finds coping mechanisms and different therapeutic approaches to improve the quality of your life.
Kellie utilizes techniques such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Art and Play Therapy. She understands that therapy can feel uncomfortable and awkward at times, and she encourages clients to move at a pace that feels comfortable.
She obtained a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University, and is currently completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. In her free time, Kellie enjoys spending time with loved ones and being active outdoors.
