Behavioral Issues: Behavioral issues manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including social withdrawal, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, aggression, self-harm, and various other challenges. Kassaundra creates an individualized treatment plan that may include therapy, skills training, family counseling, and more.
Trauma/PTSD: Trauma comes in many forms, and Kassaundra helps clients learn ways to confront and come to terms with painful memories, thoughts, and images that cause distress. Through talk therapy, she teaches relaxation methods to use when anxious and creates strategies to help clients get back to daily activities.
In therapy, Kassaundra uses CBT, play therapy, psychotherapy, and other methods to meet client needs. In every case, she's open to go outside of standard interventions to help clients open up and move forward.
Kassaundra earned a graduate degree from Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys reading autobiographies, travel, and practicing self-care.
