Hanna supports individuals, couples, and families of all ages struggling with depression, grief, substance use, women's issues, and is especially skilled at treating:
Trauma: Hanna is a certified trauma specialist and is skilled at helping clients focus on hope and resiliency no matter what barriers they're facing. She understands change takes time, but there's possibility to overcome anything and move forward.
Anxiety and OCD: Individuals with OCD usually experience both obsessions and compulsions that can present a long list of challenges. Hanna can help evaluate the impact of OCD on day-to-day activities and find the right treatment plan for relief.
Couples Counseling and Premarital Therapy: Hanna is here to teach couples how to resolve conflict and better communicate. By learning how to improve interactions, relationships are positioned to grow and thrive. Also, as a certified Prepare and Enrich Premarital Facilitator, Hanna can help couples discuss differences and expectations so they can better understand and support each other during marriage
In therapy, Hanna uses CBT, Bowen Family Systems, and a trauma-informed approach. When appropriate, she encourages family therapy to increase differentiation and foster healthy relationships. Hanna believes taking the first step into therapy is a major accomplishment that can be challenging in the beginning but gets easier over time. She wants clients to know they are not alone through this process and she strives to meet them where they are throughout their journey.
Hanna earned a graduate degree from Northern Illinois University. In her free time, she enjoys being in nature, paddleboarding, and spending time with her puppy and two cats.
