Substance Abuse: With years of hands-on and supervision experience in residential and outpatient programs for substance abuse, Denise provides treatment for every stage of the addictions process. She's also able to help families understand and cope throughout the treatment process.
Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder: From mood swings to emotional instability, Denise works to understand the thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns for various mental disorders. After identifying what triggers episodes, she can help develop effective strategies to manage stress and cope with upsetting situations.
In therapy, Denise uses CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and various other methods to encourage clients to set and achieve goals. In every situation, she keeps clients on path and progressing toward success.
Denise earned a graduate degree in community counseling from Governors State University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, cooking, spending time in nature, and the occasional Netflix binge.
