Clare Mazurkiewicz, LPC, ATR is a flexible person-centered therapist. She uses both talk and art therapy to create a safe and comfortable space for clients to express themselves.
In therapy, Clare offers services for children, adolescents, and young adults. She offers services such as PTSD therapy, Family Issues, and Life transitions. She is especially skilled in Art Therapy, Depression, and Anxiety.
Art Therapy: Clare is a registered art therapist (ATR) in Illinois. She offers her clients of all age ranges to express themselves through art when they may not be able to in a traditional setting. Art therapy opens to more communication and exploration of mental health.
Coping Mechanisms for Anxiety: Clare meets clients where they are at in their life. Whether they are at their lowest or just want long term care, she will offer a safe space for exploration.
Depression Treatment: When a client is feeling low, Clare is here with her support. She never pushes a client to move forward until they are ready themselves. Depression is debilitating and can cause physical symptoms. Clare can help find the optimal healing route for each person.
Clare uses different, creative therapeutic opportunities to help her clients. She utilizes her art therapy certification quite often and is open to trying different routes. Everyone experiences differently and their healing shouldn’t be exactly the same.
Clare earned her graduate degree from Adler University. In her free time, she enjoys being outside and going on adventures. She has been on her own health journey and enjoys playing sports.
Clare can help you or your child at our Lake in the Hills location, or via telehealth from anywhere in Illinois!
