Dr. Pedersen is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychological assessment. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and her Psy.D. degree from Roosevelt University. Dr. Pedersen has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health, primary care, behavioral health hospital, and Veterans Health Administration settings. Her postdoctoral fellowship was in health psychology, and she particularly enjoys working with clients preparing for medical procedures.
Dr. Pedersen believes each person needs to be treated as an individual. She tailors assessments to the client in order to provide the most applicable and useful recommendations. She understands that the therapeutic relationship is essential to the assessment process and strives to provide an open, relaxed atmosphere and emphasizes the collaborative nature of assessment.
In her free time, Dr. Pedersen enjoys exploring the city, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
