Claire Pedersen, PsyD, believes each person needs to be treated as an individual and interventions must be tailored appropriately in order to maximize success. She uses relational techniques to build rapport and address treatment barriers that may emerge during the course of an evidence-based treatment.
Dr. Pedersen earned an undergraduate degree from Marquette University and a PsyD from Roosevelt University. She has experience with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health, primary care, Veterans Health Administration, and behavioral health hospital settings.
In therapy, Dr. Pedersen's primary goal is to help clients develop a compassionate understanding of themselves and their struggles. She works with clients to develop recommendations that maximize treatment success, and knows meaningful change in therapy is not possible without a strong therapeutic relationship. Dr. Pedersen strives to build a trusting, genuine relationship with clients and uses that as the foundation of their work together.
