About Carolyn Klinkert, LCPC

Carolyn Klinkert, LCPC, Clinical Supervisor, believes that all people have potential to change when they’re ready. For all of her clients, she creates a safe environment to feel heard, build on strengths, and challenge barriers to help increase meaning in their lives.

Carolyn earned her BA at Old Dominion University and a MA from Saint Xavier University. Earlier in her career, she served as a therapist for survivors of sexual trauma, a psychotherapist in a group practice setting, a family therapist at a residential treatment facility, and an adult therapist in a community setting working.

Carolyn’s approach is inviting, calm, interactive and direct. She utilizes a variety of approaches including solution focused, strengths based, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, motivational, mindfulness, and family systems. She understands that change requires hard work and strives to make other people and resources available through the process. She never hesitates to refer clients to community resources and include support systems into therapy sessions when appropriate.
