About Amanda Scheblein, LCPC

Amanda Scheblein, LCPC, is empathic, compassionate, and believes all clients are doing the best they can on any given day. She provides support to increase confidence and the ability to manage life challenges.

Amanda treats adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and has a special interest in helping individuals recover from eating disorders and build a life free from the suffering that eating disorders create.

In therapy, Amanda utilizes a collaborative and supportive approach with an emphasis on helping clients obtain their goals. She uses DBT and other techniques to overcome challenges and teaches emotional regulation skills to address problems in day-to-day life. In every case, Amanda helps clients achieve greater insight to create a life worth living.

Amanda earned an undergraduate degree from University of Illinois and a graduate degree from
The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has extensive training in DBT and eating disorder treatment.
