Gary Michelsen, LCPC, believes everyone has the capacity for change. In therapy, he helps empower others to build upon their strengths and develop skills to enhance their interpersonal relationships and quality of life.
Gary earned an MA from Concordia University, and has BA degrees in both psychology and sociology. With over 20 years of experience, Gary worked with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, residential placements, private homes, and social service agencies.
Gary utilizes a non-judgmental strength-based treatment approach and is an advocate for each client. The variety of techniques he uses include Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts, Play, and Behavioral and Family Systems models.
